Uno Minda Passes GST Rate Cut Benefits to Customers with Price Revisions
Uno Minda Limited, a Tier 1 automotive solutions supplier, has implemented price reductions across multiple product lines within its aftermarket division. The move, effective September 22, 2025, directly transfers the benefits of a recent GST reform to its customers.The price revision follows the 56th GST Council Meeting, where it was recommended to rationalize tax slabs. Consequently, the GST rate on several automotive components, including alloy wheels, batteries, car mats, and CNG kits, was reduced from 28% to 18%. Uno Minda has confirmed that all its products previously under the 28% tax bracket have been moved to the 18% slab."We welcome the Government of India and the GST Council's progressive step towards rationalizing tax rates," said Vishal Kaul, Business Head & President, Aftermarket Uno Minda Ltd.
